Samsung Galaxy Book Flex Alpha is a 2 in 1 Laptop with QLED

Last year, Samsung announced the Galaxy Book Ion and the Galaxy Book Flex, a couple of new laptops designed to replace its Notebook 9 Pen and Notebook 9 models. Now the company is unveiling another new laptop that will be positioned in the cheapest market segment. The Galaxy Book Flex Alpha has been designed to bring some of the top-of-the-line features of the new Galaxy Book laptops to a cheaper price point.

Like the more expensive Galaxy Book Flex, the Alpha version features a 2-in-1 aluminum design with a 13.3-inch rotating 1080p QLED display. It also has a more modern design with sharper corners and smaller frames than the company's previous device.

Samsung Galaxy Book Flex Alpha, here's how the laptop will be equipped

In quest for a cheaper market price, the Galaxy Book Flex Alpha loses some functionality, such as the Qi wireless charging pad built into the trackpad and an included S Pen that plugs into the laptop. Samsung will offer a new pen for the Alpha laptop instead, but it will be sold separately at laptopsunder30000.com site.

On the hardware side, the Galaxy Book Flex Alpha will be powered by Intel's 10th generation Core processors - the company has not yet reported which , 8 GB or 12 GB RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB SSD storage space. Samsung also promises that the Alpha laptop will offer 17.5 hours of battery life on a single charge, with support for USB-C technology for fast charging.

Although Samsung has not yet actually reported the prices or possible release date of the Galaxy Book Ion and Galaxy Book Flex premium laptops (both scheduled for launch in early 2020), the company says it expects Galaxy Book Flex Alpha to fit 'under' these two products.
